How refreshing to see that the 'scrap gold' buying kiosks that have grown up at a huge rate in the last couple of years are starting to disappear. We are constantly amazed that the public have put their trust in these types of gold buyers as the price paid by established jewellers and pawnbrokers is always going to be higher than these 'fly by nights' as we are not dependant solely on the purchase of old gold jewellery and scrap for our income and thus can offer much higher and fairer prices for all jewellery.

In the last couple of years with the huge increase in the price of gold there have been a plethora of gold buying websites spring up, many of whom have attracted bad press due to the incredibly low offers they make for customers old gold, silver or platinum jewellery.

We still wonder why people are still sending their old gold or scrap jewellery to these types of sites, some of who have PO Boxes as their mailing address and do not welcome personal callers.
